Frequently Asked Questions
Please reach us at [email protected] if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Where is our product from?
Frequently Asked Questions: We are very proud to say that we have partnered up with one of the best tea suppliers in the world. About 95% of our dry tea and herbs come from our primary vendor located in Toronto, Canada, with over 30 of experience. The rest of our herbs come from different vendors located in the USA that carry the finest and fresh ingredients. Our teas are sourced primarily from China, India, Sri Lanka, Africa, and Thailand.
What is the freshness of our blends/teas/leaves?
Frequently Asked Questions: Tea is a highly specialized agricultural product, and in order to preserve its optimal quality, our vendors meticulously select only peak-season teas. These teas are then vac-packed to ensure their freshness is maintained. As a result, purchasing tea during its seasonal peak is crucial for long-lasting quality. It’s important to highlight that most global tea regions have a narrow 3-7 week window when the quality is at its absolute best. Consequently, you can always rely on our teas to be fresh and of the highest quality!

When stored in their original bag and used regularly, they typically last for approximately 2 years.
How should I store my tea?
Frequently Asked Questions: To protect your tea, keep it in its bag, shielded from light, humidity, and high temperatures. Store it in a dry, cool place, away from the stove, and avoid placing it in the refrigerator or freezer. Additionally, keep it away from items with strong odors. Oxygen, moisture, and intense aromas can all negatively affect the delicate flavors of the tea.
Is loose-leaf tea higher quality than grocery store tea bags?
Frequently Asked Questions: Yes, it is a better quality tea for several reasons. In the tea industry, tea leaf grading is the process of evaluating products based on the quality and condition of the tea leaves. The highest grades are often referred to as “orange pekoe.” On the other hand, the lowest quality is referred to as “fannings” or “dust.” So, when they are crushed to make bagged teas, the tea is referred to as “broken.” As a result, the tea dust does not have the same mouthwatering flavor or full benefits.
What is the difference between Ayurvedic teas and other wellness teas?
Frequently Asked Questions: Regarded as the oldest science of medicine, Ayurveda has been practiced for over 6,000 years. The word “Ayurveda” translates to “science of life” in Sanskrit. Ayurvedic teas are thoughtfully blended to balance and complement the three Doshas. These traditional herbal teas use specific herbs aimed at balancing, detoxifying, or nourishing both the mind and body. Therefore, choosing the right Ayurvedic tea can help restore balance to the doshas, promoting harmony and supporting overall health and well-being.
Can our Ayurvedic tea blends cure diseases?
NO. Our Ayurvedic teas do not treat or cure diseases. However, drinking Ayurvedic teas made up of certain herb combinations may help restore some Dosha imbalances. According to Ayurveda, if the Doshas are imbalanced, we can help them bring them back to their balanced state through an Ayurvedic routine, lifestyle, diet, and herbs before irreversible changes occur. In addition, according to Ayurveda, the intelligence of the herbs will help restore where the body has lost its connection to consciousness.
Who can drink our teas?
Frequently Asked Questions: Before making any changes to your diet, please consult your primary physician. Our Ayurvedic teas are composed of various herbs that may interact with any medications you are currently taking. Our herb and fruit blends are kid-friendly, making them great substitutes for juice or perfect for turning into homemade popsicles—delicious and fun!
Are our products sourced from organic ingredients?
Frequently Asked Questions: The majority of our products are organic, and many of our Ayurvedic blends feature organic herbs. For more details on a specific tea, please refer to our Tea Menu for further information.
Do our products contain GMOs?
No
Are blends are caffeine free?
Frequently Asked Questions: The caffeine content is on each tea label. No surprises 🙂

Ayurvedic & Organic Tea Brewing Information
IDEAL BREWING TEMPERATURE:
100ºC/212ºF
HOT BREWING METHOD:
Bring filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place one slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea for each 7-9oz / 200-260ml of fluid volume in the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 5-10 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time, the stronger the tea).
ICED TEA BREWING METHOD (Individual Serving):
Place one slightly heaping teaspoon of loose tea or one tea bag into a teapot for each serving required. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 6-7oz/170-200ml per serving over the tea. Cover and let steep for 7 minutes. Add hot tea to a 12oz/375ml acrylic glass filled with ice, straining the tea or removing the bags. Not all of the tea will fit, allowing for approximately an additional ½ serving. Add milk and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted. (Note: Some luxury quality teas may turn cloudy when poured over ice, this is a sign of luxury quality and nothing to worry about!)
ICED TEA BREWING METHOD (Pitcher): (To Make 1 Liter/Quart):
Place 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of loose tea or 6 tea bags into a teapot or heat-resistant pitcher. Using filtered or freshly drawn cold water, boil and pour 1¼ cups/315ml over the tea. Steep for 7 minutes. Quarter-fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the tea into your serving pitcher, straining the tea or removing the tea bags. Add ice and milk, and top up the pitcher with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to increase the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water. (Note: Some luxury quality teas may turn cloudy when poured over ice, this is a sign of luxury quality and nothing to worry about!)

Ayurvedic Immunity Tea Balancing Benefits
The Luxury Tea Difference
1. Luxury quality teas are hand-plucked. This means reducing reliance on fossil fuels and pollution with virtually no CO2 output. (Japan is an exception. There, luxury teas are harvested by machine.)
2. Tea plantations absorb CO2.
The better run the estate is, the more carbon is absorbed. In addition, most of the estates our primary vendor deals with use renewable timber and old rootstock for fuel, further reducing emissions.
3. Luxury estates rehabilitate the soil.
Fields are rotated and left fallow on a regular schedule.
4. Better botany means less reliance on pesticides.
Many of the luxury teas we carry are pesticide-free. As a matter of fact, many luxury tea areas (i.e., Darjeeling, Kenyan Highlands, or Sri Lanka) can support tea 100% free of pesticides, thanks to the high altitudes. (Tea pests can’t survive.)
When these policies are followed, luxury estates thrive, providing jobs, housing, education, and medical care for workers and their families.
